Allergic reaction / Anaphylaxis
Extremely rare
Vascular occlusion may occur in which hyaluronic acid is inadvertently placed in an artery that may cause a blockage, reducing blood supply to the skin. The localised area will be extremely painful and discoloured. The product will need to be immediately dissolved with an injectable medication called Hyalase to prevent further medical complications
